Consultation HotlineThe pipeline of pneumatic ball valve is mainly used to cut off fast, distribute and change the direction of the medium. Pneumatic ball valve is a new type of valve. So what are its advantages and disadvantages? Now let me explain to you, the editor
1. The fluid resistance is small, and its resistance coefficient is equal to that of pipe segments of the same length.
2. Simple structure, small size, and light weight.
3. Tight and reliable, the sealing surface material of the ball valve is widely used in plastic, with good sealing performance, and has also been widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Convenient operation, quick opening and closing, with only 90 ° rotation from full opening to full closing, facilitating remote control.
5. Easy to maintain, pneumatic ball valves have a simple structure, and sealing rings are generally movable, making disassembly and replacement more convenient.
6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium, and when the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.
7. It has a wide range of applications, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, and can be applied from high vacuum to high pressure.
8. Because the power source of pneumatic ball valves uses gas, usually at pressures of 0, 2-0, or 8MPa, it is relatively safe. If the pneumatic ball valve leaks, compared to hydraulic and electric valves, the gas can be directly discharged, without pollution to the environment, and has high safety.
9. Compared to manual and turbine rotating ball valves, pneumatic ball valves can be configured with large diameters. (Manual and turbine rotating ball valves are generally below DN300 caliber, while pneumatic ball valves can reach DN1200 caliber.)
The drawbacks are as follows:
1. Its regulating performance is slightly worse than that of shut-off valves, especially pneumatic valves;
2. Because the main seat sealing ring material for pneumatic ball valves is polytetrafluoroethylene, which is inert to almost all chemicals. However, the physical properties of polytetrafluoroethylene, including its high expansion coefficient, sensitivity to cold flow, and poor thermal conductivity, require that the design of valve seat seals must revolve around these characteristics.
When the sealing material becomes hard, the reliability of the seal is compromised. Moreover, the temperature resistance level of polytetrafluoroethylene is relatively low and can only be used at temperatures below 180 ℃. Beyond this temperature, the sealing material will age. If you want to use it for a long time, it is generally recommended to use it at 120 ℃;
